The 101st Region 8 Committee Meeting is to be held on the 05th to the 06th of October in Sarajevo, BiH. Section chairs and other Committee members will meet there to examine the future plans of the Region.

IEEE Regional Student Paper Contests
This award is comprised of ten regional paper contests to recognize technical, written, and verbal communication skills. These skills are key to successful careers.
US$800 first place, US$500 second place, US$200 third place, and customized certificate. Funded by the IEEE Life Members’ Committee.

IEEEXtreme programming is a 24 hour programming competition for students across the globe. It is growing rapidly and with your help, it will become the world’s largest programming competition.
IEEEXtreme 5.0 was scheduled for 22 October 2011. The IEEE Student Branch ETF Sarajevo participated this year with the following team : Adnan Ademović, Marko Lalić i Amer Mešanović. Our team was ranked 27. among 1500 teams coming from all around the world.

IEEE SB Sarajevo in cooperation with a team of programmers started STELEKS the ETF in order to be the club that brought together students who love the program and that it is not just a hobby or a profession simply do not want
“Rust” with their knowledge by working on joint projects and workshops.
The club, the students shared experiences; week to organize lectures on technologies (such that each member is assigned to make a presentation about a technology that is once a year so that each week had a presentation type hibernate, gwt, flex, …)
